Spider mech game

The original aim of this prototype was to offer a completely unique third person shooter experience, one that gives the player complete movement freedom.

A strong emphasis was put on improving player experience by giving an easy to use control scheme and implementing quality of life changes in the camera system so combat would flow smoothly while still giving the players full control over the mech.

In regards to the art of the game, the main goal was to use a combination of the visual works of both Ghost in the Shell and Tsutomu Nihei's Blame! manga.

Additionally, the game has a part based damage system, enemy mechs can be disabled by having their legs shot out, something that can happen to the player's mech too.

This system's aim is to be used in battles against larger, much slower mechs so that players can have ample time to aim their shots towards weak spots or dangerous enemy weapons.

Right now the only implemented mech are fast agile mechs so the part damage system plays a small role in taking out enemy mechs.
